To use JetPurge, export a csv file from your CRM or other data repository. To ensure a smoothe clenaning process, ensure your column headers do not contain quotation marks. Once you've got the csv file in hand and ready to load, click the 'Choose File' button in the form above.
Next, all your column headers will appear on screen. From there, choose the columns you would like to de-duplicate the data set using. You can select more than one. Finally, JetPurge offers some additional data sanitation services that we'll explain in detail below.
Trim Whitespace - Removes errant Whitespace within cells that would otherwise cause errors in applications or inconsistencies in data analysis.
Phone Number Normalization - Converts phone numbers in the file to xxx-xxx-xxxx format. Just enusre the column with the phone number has the word 'phone' somewhere in it.
Fix Name Capitalization - Fixes any names with lower case first letters.
Validate Emails - Enusres no emails are malformed.
Excel is great but without VBA and advanced, perfectly written formulas, data analysis and cleaning can produce incorrect results.
Currently, JetPurge supports files up to 10MB. We know, it's not massive — but hey, this is a free tool after all 🥲. Try breaking up your data into smaller chunks if you're running into limits.
JetPurge uses SSL to securely transfer files, but it's not designed to handle personal identifiable information (PII) like SSNs, credit cards, or health records. Please sanitize your data before uploading to stay on the safe side.
Make sure your CSV file does not contain quotation marks inside the header row. These can confuse the parser and prevent JetPurge from recognizing your columns.
Absolutely. You can check multiple boxes to combine fields (like name + email or phone + zip) and JetPurge will consider those combinations when identifying duplicates.
JetPurge can fix inconsistent whitespace, name capitalization, malformed emails, and even normalize phone numbers. Want to define a specific length for fields like IDs or zip codes? You can do that too in the formatting section.
You can enter the expected length for any column using the formatting feature. JetPurge will automatically pad short values with leading zeros so your codes stay consistent.
