Random Job Generator

What Job Should I Pick?

Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned worker, finding your next job can be rough. Although unemployment rates in the United States and elsewhere are relatively low, finding suitable work that won't burn you out is an ongoing struggle.

To help you on your job or career choice, I've put together a random jobs generator that will give you thousands of possible jobs to choose from.

Once you find one, keep scrolling onto the video below the generator, to a quick demo on how I search for jobs/contracts.

Indeed.com is the best place to look for jobs. Most companies that I've worked with, use it and LinkedIn as their sole job posting services.

When looking for jobs, be sure to only apply to the ones that have a salary listed. Companies that obscure this basic requirement for doing business are probably going to lowball you.

After all, most of us are not working to make friends or play table tennis, we've got bills and babies to take care of!

Job vs Career

The difference between a job and a career is that jobs are simply things that you do for money. A career is comprised of many jobs and is more about who you are than what you do.

Careers are your life's work and cannot be taken away from the way a job can. For example, I've done numerous weird jobs with even weirder people but most of them I will forget ever existed in a few years or even months.

My career as a software engineer, however, is comprised of this website, my software products and the invaluable skills and confidence I have cultivated over the years. We need jobs for money but we need a career for fulfillment.

Chase the things that no one can take away from you.
